Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) released the following statement after voting against H.R. 4521, Democrats’ America CONCEDES Act.

“Every member of this Congress recognizes the imperative need for the United States to be the preeminent global power, and the threat China poses the U.S.,” said Rep. Hern.  “Our number one priority in any bill targeting China should be to limit the threat from the CCP. Unfortunately, the Democrats’ bill did very little to combat China, but included many progressive wish-list items from the Green New Deal.  It’s a shame we cannot pass a clean bipartisan bill to accomplish a very bipartisan goal, but this is par for the course with Speaker Pelosi.”

The bill passed along party lines.
