I did not receive tickets, can I still attend the inauguration?
Yes! Due to the number of ticket requests, we were unable to fulfill every constituents’ requests. However, there are designated public viewing areas on the National Mall that do not require tickets. Additionally, the National Park Service provides large screen televisions and speakers to assist in viewing the ceremony.
I am planning to attend the Inaugural Ceremony, how should I dress?
January in Washington, DC are notoriously cold and raining. It is recommended that you dress in layers and plan for potential rain. Bundle Up!
Are there any other events going on in DC?

Where should I stay?
The inauguration is on Capitol Hill. We recommend staying at a hotel in either Southwest or Southeast DC as they are closest to the inaugural ceremony. However, if you can’t find a suitable place to stay in those areas, Alexandria, VA & Arlington, VA are right across the river and are easily accessible on the Metro.
How can I get around DC?
Due to increased security for the events, there will be significant road closures in and around Capitol Hill. However, the Metro system will be running throughout the week including days of the events. The only interruption will be security checkpoints inside the stations. We highly recommend you utilize the Metro system to navigate the city.
What should I do immediately following the inauguration?
At the conclusion of the ceremonies, President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance will lead the Inaugural Parade down Pennsylvania Avenue, starting at the East Front steps of the Capitol, and ending at the White House. The parade will include ceremonial military regiments, citizens’ groups, marching bands, floats, and more!
