WASHINGTON, DC – Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) released the following statement after voting YES on H.Res 104, a resolution condemning the Chinese Communist Party’s use of a high-altitude surveillance balloon over United States territory as a brazen violation of United States sovereignty. 

“President Biden failed the American people this week when he allowed a spy balloon to fly over our country from Montana to Myrtle Beach,” said Rep. Hern. “The Communist Chinese Party does not respect President Biden and now they do not respect the United States. Xi Jinping is testing us, and he likes what he sees. The Chinese threat continues to grow; the only thing that will stop it is strong leadership from the United States.”
