“Americans don’t want to hear dressed up lies”: Hern reacts to Biden’s State of the Union

WASHINGTON, DC – Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) released the following statement after President Joe Biden delivered the State of the Union Address to a joint session of Congress. 

“President Biden and his White House could not be more out of touch with the American people,” said Rep. Hern. “I wish we’d heard him take responsibility for his role in our weakened economy, depleting our Strategic Petroleum Reserve, creating a crisis on our Southern border, caving to China, and diminishing the reputation of the United States on the world stage. Americans don’t want to hear dressed up lies; they know the cold, hard truth: that everything costs more today than it did when Biden took office over two years ago. We need honesty from the White House, and we need a legitimate effort to work with Republicans to cut the spending of American taxpayer dollars and restore fiscal sanity before it’s too late.”
