Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) released the following statement after voting YES on both HR 26, the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, and H.Con.Res 3, Expressing the sense of Congress condemning the recent attacks on pro-life facilities, groups, and churches.

“Today was an important day for all Americans, but certainly for those fighting to protect life at every stage,” said Rep. Hern. “The Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act is an essential step forward, recognizing that our most vulnerable – our children – deserve protection, and they deserve to live.”

Rep. Hern continued, “The resolution condemning attacks on pregnancy centers around the nation is much needed. These organizations are generally run by volunteers and provide important services to women in need. Attacks on crisis pregnancy centers are just plain evil. We should be doing everything in our power to support the women who choose life! I’m proud to vote yes on these important pieces of legislation and will continue to stand – unequivocally – on the side of life.”
