Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) released the following statement after voting against HR 6833, the Continuing Resolution to fund the government through December 16^th.

“More spending is not the answer,” said Rep. Hern. “We wouldn’t be in this situation if we had a budget, but Congress has failed the American people in that for years. My budget was the only one introduced in the House for the last two years. These short-term spending bills don’t address the rampant spending happening; they reinforce the bad habits formed by our government over the last two decades. We need to do the hard work of governance and pass a budget – that’s the only thing that will help the American people hurting from Biden’s recession.”
