Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) released the following statement recognizing the 101^st Anniversary of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.

“Yesterday and today mark the somber anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre. This horrific event destroyed countless lives on Black Wall Street & laid waste to a thriving community” said Rep. Hern. “More than a century later, we still have a long way to go; however, progress is being made every day. My 2021 resolution – which officially recognizes the history of the Tulsa Race Massacre - is continuing to provide valuable knowledge & insight to people inside our community and across the country. The Greenwood District in Tulsa continues to be a vibrant center of industry.”

Rep. Hern concluded, “Please join me today in honoring the victims, survivors, and descendants of the horrible events that befell our city 101 years ago.”
