Hern announces start of the 2022 Congressional Art Competition

Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) launched the 2022 Congressional Art Competition for students in Oklahoma’s First District. The Congressional Art competition is a nationwide event that allows high school students from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories to showcase their artistic ability. The winning piece of art from each Congressional district will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year.

“Oklahomans have always been creative,” said Rep. Hern. “Our history as artists and innovators have made a tremendous impact on our nation, and future generations will continue to enrich the legacy that Oklahomans have increasingly grown proud of.”

This year’s theme is “Creative Oklahoma: Celebrating Oklahoma’s rich contribution to the arts.” The deadline for entries is April 8th. Please visit here, or contact the Tulsa District Office at 918-935-3222 to submit entries.
