Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) released the following statement on the departure of longtime Communications Director Miranda Dabney. Dabney will join the House Appropriations Committee as Communications Director under Chairman Tom Cole (OK-04) next week.

“Since my first day in office, Miranda Dabney has served Oklahoma’s First District with unwavering dedication,” said Rep. Hern. “Over nearly seven years, her invaluable contributions have been the cornerstone of our team’s success. I am immensely proud of her achievements and confident that her career will continue to thrive.” 

Dabney joined Hern’s staff in November 2018 after he was sworn in to serve the remainder of former Rep. Jim Bridenstine’s term and has led his communications team ever since. She formerly worked for the National Republican Congressional Committee and the Tulsa World, and she is an alumnus of the University of Tulsa and Lincoln Christian School in Tulsa.
