Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) announced the following staff changes in his DC office as he steps into the new role of Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee (RPC).
Joe Barry – RPC Executive Director Barry was hired as the Republican Study Committee’s Policy Director in 2022 and served as Executive Director in 2023 and 2024 under Chairman Hern. He previously worked on RSC’s policy staff under former Chairman, now-Speaker Mike Johnson. He has years of policy experience on Capitol Hill working for multiple House Republicans.
Kirby Tidmore – RPC Policy Director Tidmore previously served in Rep. Hern’s congressional office as Senior Legislative Assistant. She has been a member of Rep. Hern’s legislative staff since 2022 and previously worked for Rep. Jim Hagedorn.
Omar Hossino – RPC National Security Advisor and General Counsel Hossino most recently served as Senior Policy Counsel on the Republican Study Committee under Chairman Hern, also working on RSC’s policy team under former Chairs Jim Banks and Mike Johnson. Hossino previously worked as Legislative Director for Jim Banks and is a House Foreign Affairs Committee alum.
Cameron Foster – Chief of Staff Foster has served as Rep. Hern’s Chief of Staff since Hern took office in 2018.
Marisa Burleson – Director of Member Services and Senior Advisor Burleson served as the Republican Study Committee’s Director of Members Services and Coalitions during Hern’s chairmanship and previously worked for Representatives Jake LaTurner and Jodey Arrington.
Chris Giblin – Director of Coalitions and Legislative Aide Giblin served as the Republican Study Committee’s Deputy Director of Member Services and Coalitions under Chairman Hern and previously worked for Rep. Troy Nehls.
Miranda Dabney – Communications Director Dabney ran communications for Rep. Hern since he took office in 2018 and served as the Republican Study Committee Communications Director in the 118th Congress. Dabney previously worked at the NRCC and the Tulsa World.
Zack Lissau – Press Secretary Lissau served as Rep. Hern’s Deputy Press Secretary since 2023 and formerly worked for Senator Rand Paul.
Jefferson Willis – Legislative Director Willis has been on Rep. Hern’s legislative team since 2021, serving as Legislative Director since 2023 and covering the tax portfolio. He previously worked in government relations for Home Depot and is a Senator Mike Enzi alum. Before working in politics, Willis was a Certified Public Accountant with KPMG and holds a Master’s in Taxation from the University of Mississippi.
Meg Maykoski – Legislative Assistant Maykoski has served on Rep. Hern’s legislative team since 2023 and covers his healthcare portfolio.
Karinne Coberly – Director of Operations Coberly previously served as Rep. Hern’s scheduler since 2022 and also previously worked in his district office as Staff Assistant.
Chase Gurey – Staff Assistant Gurey joined Rep. Hern’s team as Staff Assistant in 2023 and has interned for multiple House Republicans.
