Republican Study Committee Chairman Kevin Hern (OK-01) announced the promotion of Joe Barry to Executive Director and Abby McHan to Policy Director, joining Communications Director Miranda Dabney and Member Services Director Marisa Burleson on RSC’s senior leadership.

Barry previously served as RSC Policy Director and steps into the role of Executive Director with years of experience on Capitol Hill. McHan joined RSC’s policy staff earlier this year, covering the budget and economy portfolio, after serving as Legislative Director to Rep. Michael Cloud (TX-27) for the last several years.

“Conservatives are in a better position than ever before to make impactful policy decisions that put our nation back on the right track,” said Chairman Hern. “Joe and Abby are doing incredible work to help advance strong policy and they have my full support to help move RSC and the conservative movement on Capitol Hill forward.”

Last month, former RSC Executive Directors Dan Ziegler and Jay Fields were hired to senior policy roles in Speaker Mike Johnson’s office.
