WASHINGTON, DC – Newly-elected Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee Kevin Hern (OK-01) announced the hiring of policy veteran Joe Barry to serve as Executive Director of the Republican Policy Committee starting on January 3rd. Barry most recently served as Executive Director of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) under Chairman Hern. “The most important thing you can do to set yourself up for success, whether in business or elected office, is to surround yourself with good people,” said Chairman Hern. “Joe Barry has done fantastic work at the Republican Study Committee the last two years. Our Members know him and respect his knowledge of the legislative landscape on Capitol Hill. We’ve got a lot to do next year in partnership with President Trump’s Administration and our colleagues in the Senate, I’m confident that Joe is the right person to help us get the America First Agenda across the finish line.” Barry was hired as RSC’s Policy Director in 2022 and has served as Executive Director since 2023. He previously worked on RSC’s policy staff under former Chairman, now-Speaker Mike Johnson. He has years of experience on Capitol Hill working for multiple House Republicans. ### |
