Hern announces new legislative leadership in DC office

Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) released the following statement announcing the hire of experienced Ways and Means staffer Dominique Yelinski as the new head of the legislative team in Washington, D.C. This comes a week after Congressman Hern accepted a seat on the prestigious House Committee on Ways and Means.

“As a business owner, I always said that my greatest asset was my team,” said Rep. Hern. “As a Member of Congress, it’s the same. I am fortunate to have great staff in both my DC and Tulsa offices. With my new role on the House Committee on Ways and Means, I need an experienced policy advisor to help me with an aggressive agenda covering some of the most complicated issues in Congress’ jurisdiction, like healthcare and taxes. Dominique’s experience on Capitol Hill and in President Trump’s Administration make her an outstanding addition; I am confident that I have assembled the right team to accomplish our goals and deliver legislative victories for the people of Oklahoma’s First District.”

Yelinski said, “Representative Hern’s journey from hardship to small business owner and now Congress is an inspiration to all Americans. I’m honored to have the opportunity to work with him and his team in Congress.”

Yelinski joins Rep. Hern’s staff after serving as an advisor to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar. Before HHS, she was the Legislative Director for Rep. Jodey Arrington and previously worked for Rep. Bill Posey (FL-08), Rep. Mark Meadows (NC-11), and Florida Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera. Yelinski earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and a Master of Public Health from George Washington University.
